This Privacy Policy explains how Surf Live Score handles information when you use the mobile app, widgets, Apple Watch app, iMessage extension, website, and related API services. It describes the app's current production behavior and the service providers used to operate it. We do not publish credentials, project identifiers, service account details, access tokens, or other sensitive infrastructure information in this document.

1. Who we are

Surf Live Score is operated by LOUD srl. The app provides surf event information, rankings, athlete details, countdowns, favorites, widgets, and notifications related to professional surfing events.

LOUD srl is the data controller for the processing of personal data described in this Privacy Policy. We do not have a designated Data Protection Officer (DPO).

2. What the app displays

The app displays public sports information, including event schedules, event status, rankings, athlete names, athlete images, nationality, public athlete profile details, public Instagram profile links, and historical results. This content may be collected from publicly available sources, including World Surf League related web pages, then stored and served through our backend infrastructure.

We do not intentionally collect payment information, precise device location, contact lists, health data, private messages, or account passwords through the app. Opening Apple Maps, Instagram, YouTube, World Surf League pages, or other external services may cause those third parties to process information under their own policies.

5. Firebase, Google Cloud, and infrastructure data

Firebase and Google Cloud process data on our behalf to provide authentication, database, notification, media, hosting, logging, monitoring, deployment, and security functionality. This may include technical identifiers, app instance information, push tokens, IP addresses, user agents, request metadata, service logs, and diagnostic information. Google Cloud Console is used as an administrative interface by LOUD srl and is not a feature where end users create Surf Live Score accounts.

6. Notifications

If you enable notifications, the app may send alerts related to live events, event changes, rankings, or future features related to favorite athletes. Delivery uses Firebase Cloud Messaging and Apple Push Notification service. You can disable notifications at any time from your device settings.

7. Platform permissions

On iOS and iPadOS, some features may rely on platform permissions or settings, such as notifications, widgets, Apple Watch, iMessage, and Apple Maps integrations. If optional permissions are disabled, the app remains usable, although related features may be limited. We do not sell your personal information.

8. Local storage and app extensions

Some preferences, such as selected season, favorite athletes, notification prompt state, language fallback, and widget data, may be stored locally on your device or shared locally with app extensions such as widgets, Apple Watch, or iMessage. Removing the app may delete this local information.

Public sports data may be retained as long as needed to provide historical rankings and event results. Notification tokens and technical logs are retained only as long as reasonably necessary for service delivery, security, diagnostics, or legal compliance. Anonymous Firebase records and technical identifiers are retained according to our service configuration and provider retention rules. Local preferences remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.

We may share information with service providers that help us operate the app, such as Firebase, Google Cloud, Apple push notification services, Apple platform services, and hosting providers. We may also disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect the app, users, service providers, or the public from fraud, abuse, or security risks. We do not sell your personal information.

The app may link to external websites or apps, including Instagram, YouTube, and World Surf League pages. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies.

Surf Live Score is a sports information app and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
